Guarantors
Through commitments of ongoing support, our Guarantors provide the largest percentage of support for The Choir. Established by a group of loyal supporters in 1912, the Guarantor system ensures the organization’s fiscal health.

Every Guarantor enjoys the privilege of priority seating and an invitation to a Guarantor reception during the May Festival. Our Guarantor family now numbers more than 700 loyal supporters who come from 35 states and three nations. Click here for more information about becoming a Guarantor. (Requires Adobe Acrobat Reader)

Annual Fund
Each year The Choir asks for the support of our non-Guarantor friends who value The Choir’s contributions to our community’s cultural life. Annual Gifts may be made in any amount. They are vital to our daily operation and are greatly appreciated.

ENDOWMENT GIFTS
Musical Excellence Fund
The Musical Excellence Fund is the endowment fund that supplies the income to sustain The Choir’s long-term objectives. It was begun in 1989 with the highly successful "For the Love of Bach" capital campaign.

This endowment supports a wide variety of essential elements of The Bach Choir’s programming—including choir, orchestra, and soloist chairs; Student Ticket Funds; the Family Concert Fund; The Young American Singer Performance Award; The Ifor Jones Memorial Endowment for the Festival’s Saturday-morning concert series; The Joyce G. Lukehart Archives Fund; and many more. Contact us for all current categories within the Musical Excellence Fund.

The Linda J. Dangelmajer
Bach to School Endowment Fund

Your contribution to The Linda J. Dangelmajer Fund helps The Bach Choir reach out to future audiences. This important fund secures the financial future of the Bach to School program that is a cornerstone of The Bach Choir’s outstanding educational programming. Now in its ninth year, Bach to School offers music education to more than 5,000 children each year through classroom and assembly experiences.

The Heritage Society
A significant number of our supporters prefer planned giving as a way to ensure a strong financial future for The Bach Choir of Bethlehem. If you are considering this option, you may make a planned gift in any of several ways, each of which entitles you to membership in The Heritage Society:

  • Bequest (in your will)
  • Income-producing, charitable-gift annuity
  • Insurance policy
  • Outright endowment gift of $1,000 or more
  • Lifetime Guarantee

All planned gifts are placed in either The Musical Excellence Fund or The Linda J. Dangelmajer Bach to School Fund, thereby strengthening The Choir’s ability to maintain the highest standards of musical excellence, expand its repertoire, bring Bach’s music to broader audiences, and use innovative approaches to educate the young.

Lifetime Guarantee
If you would like to pass beloved Bach Choir traditions along to a younger friend or family member, you might like to provide that person ("beneficiary") with a Lifetime Guarantee. A Lifetime Guarantee is a gift of $25,000 that may be made as an outright gift, as part of your estate plan with an initial payment, or as a pledge with an initial deposit and a payment plan. When you give a Lifetime Guarantee, you are automatically entitled to membership in The Heritage Society and to full benefits of Guarantorship. At the appropriate time, your Guarantorship (including original Guarantor number) passes to your beneficiary.

All gifts of cash or appreciated stock, made by mail or wire transfer, are gratefully accepted and are deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law. For further information, please contact Bridget George, executive director, by phone at 610-866-4382, by e-mail at bridget@bach.org; or by mail at The Bach Choir, 423 Heckewelder Place, Bethlehem, PA 18018.
